Sustainability is the DNA of The Wave.

The business is based on the ‘triple bottom line’ of sustainability - measured according to environmental, financial and social factors. The success of a business is normally measured on the financial profit & loss or the ‘bottom line’. The triple bottom line adds social and environmental profit & loss to the mix to assess the overall sustainability of a business.
Sustainability requires that the system does not make a loss in any of the three elements. In reality this means that the system must aim to make a profit in order that inevitable occasional losses balance out and do not result in the degradation and collapse of the system.
The Bruntland definition: “Sustainable development is development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.”


 This is an ambitious but achievable plan. On first glance the projects will be cool, engaging and fun...scratch the surface, and you will find that it gets right to the heart of some of the issues facing society today. We want it to enhance the lives of many different people, from many different backgrounds in the surrounding communities.
