Sophie Hellyer
Living by the ocean and following in her father's and sisters' footsteps, in was inevitable that Sophie was going to hit the surf. Starting aged 13, within one year she joined the Roxy Team and became the iconic surf brand's poster girl.
Despite a tally of impressive competition results, it is the love of travelling to find new waves, that truly drives Sophies career and which have been documented in her adventures to Hawaii, Fiji, Tahiti, Australia, South Africa, California, Indonesia, the Caribbean, Norway, Central America and all throughout Europe.

I'm super excited to be involved with The Wave, its going to be amazing to get guaranteed waves year round and as a training facility it will be amazing for improving technique. Its going to make surfing so much more accessible for people, even in land locked areas, and I can't wait to see how it helps push UK surfing forward.
